Tim Pigott-Smith, Imelda Staunton, Penelope Wilton, et al. Set for Almeida Theatre’s A Delicate Balance

Complete casting has been announced for Edward Albee’s A Delicate Balance, to run May 5 – July 2 at the Almeida Theatre. James Macdonald, as previously announced, will direct the production.

The play concerns Agnes and Tobias, a well-off, long-married couple who are faced with making some difficult choices. In addition to the previously reported Penelope Wilton (Agnes), the company will include Lucy Cohu (Julia), Diana Hardcastle (Edna), Ian McElhinney (Harry), Imelda Staunton (Claire) and Tim Pigott-Smith (Tobias).

The creative team will include Laura Hopkins (production design), Guy Hoare (lighting design), and Ian Dickson (sound design).
