Sienna Miller to Play Tippi Hedren in BBC2’s The Girl

British stage stars Sienna Miller, Toby Jones, Imelda Staunton, and Penelope Wilton will star in Julian Jarold’s BBC2 drama The Girl, according to Deadline.com.


The film will chronicle director Alfred Hitchock’s obsessive relationship with actress Tippi Hedren (to be played Miller), who starred in his films The Birds and Marnie in the 1960s.


Miller appeared on Broadway in After Miss Julie, which she also starred in London. Her other stage credits include Flare Path, Independence, and As You Like It.


On the screen, she has appeared in such films as Interview, Alfie, Casanova, Camille, Stardust and G.I. Joe: Rise Of The Cobra.
