Phantom of the Opera to Launch New UK Tour February 2012

A UK tour of Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of the musical, The Phantom Of The Opera will launch with an engagement at the Theatre Royal Plymouth, February 25-March 31, according to a report on WhatsOnStage.com.

Based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de L’Opéra by Gaston Leroux, the show features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Charles Hart (with additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe), and book by Richard Stilgoe and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The new production will feature new sets and costumes by Paul Brown and lighting by Paule Constable.

Additional tour stops will include the Manchester Palace, Bristol Hippodrome, Dublin Grand Canal, Leeds Grand Theatre, Edinburgh Playhouse, Milton Keynes Theatre, Cardiff Millennium Centre, Southampton Mayflower, Liverpool Empire and Birmingham Hippodrome.
