The National Theatre production of Richard Bean’s popular comedy One Man, Two Guvnors, currently on Broadway at the Music Box Theater and on the West End at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket will be launching a tour that will start in the UK in the fall, to be followed by international engagements.

Adapted from Carlo Goldoni’s The Servant of Two Masters, the play centers on Francis Henshall, who agrees to work for a local gangster as well as a criminal in hiding, both of whom are linked in a tangled web of schemes and romantic associations, which Francis cannot keep straight.

Stand-up comedian and presenter Rufus Hound will play Francis for the majority of the UK tour, including engagements at Leicester Curve (October 25-November 3), Newcastle Theatre Royal (November 6-10), Glasgow Theatre Royal (November 13-17), Belfast Grand Opera (November 20-24), Blackpool Grand (November 27-December 1), Norwich Theatre Royal (December 4- 8), Leeds Grand (December 11-15), The Lowry, Salford (January 8-19) and Nottingham Theatre Royal (January 29-February 2).

Owain Arthur, currently playing Francis in the West End, will perform the role for the shows at Venue Cymru, Llandudno (January 2-5) and Wales Millennium, Cardiff (January 22- 26).

Arthur will then headline the international leg of the tour, with performances scheduled at
the Hong Kong Festival (February 15- 23), the Adelaide Festival (February 28-March 9), the Auckland Festival (March 14- 23), Sydney Theatre (March 30-May 11), and Melbourne Arts Centre (May 17-June 29).
