Natalie Casey, Jackie Clune, Amy Lennox, Bonnie Langford Set for UK Tour of 9 to 5 the Musical
Casting has been announced for the UK tour production of Dolly Parton and Patricia Resnick’s musical 9 to 5 the Musical, which will be directed by Tony Award-nominee Jeff Calhoun. The tour will begin on October 12 at the Manchester Opera House.
The principal cast will include Jackie Clune (Violet), Natalie Casey (Judy), Amy Lennox (Doralee), Ben Richards (Franklin), and Bonnie Langford (Roz). Based on the 20th Century Fox film, the musical follows three office workers as they turn the tables on their misogynistic boss.
9 to 5 the Musical opened on Broadway in 2009 under the direction of Joe Mantello. Calhoun, currently represented on Broadway with Newises, directed the musical’s subsequent US national tour.
Clune has been seen in Billy Elliot the Musical and Mamma Mia!. Casey’s credits include Abigal’s Party and the program Hollyoaks. Lenox appeared in Legally Blonde the Musical. Langford has appeared on Broadway in Chicago and played The Lady of the Lake in the UK tour of Monty Python’s Spamalot.
