Moscow’s Vakhtangov Theatre will present Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya at the West End’s Noel Coward Theatre, November 5-10. Rimas Tuminas has directed the production, which features original music by Faustas Latenas.

The play traces the lives of the members of an extended family on a Russian estate and the turmoil that erupts when the clan’s patriarch visits with his beautiful, young wife.

Tuminas’ staging received Russia’s Golden Mask Award as Best Production when it premiered. The cast includes Sergey Makovetsky, Vladimir Simonov, Ludmila Maksakova, Vladimir Vdovichenkov and Galina Konovalova.
