Matthew Kelly Among Cast of Southwark Playhouse’s The Seagull
Olivier Award winner Matthew Kelly will appear as Dorn in Southwark Playhouse‘s upcoming production of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, in a new adaptation by Anya Reiss. The production will be directed by Russell Bolam. No other casting has been announced.
In the play, an aging actress returns to her brother’s estate with her younger lover to the relief of the frustrated residents, many with unfulfilled creative ambitions, with dreams of fame, love, and the ability to change the past.
Kelly received an Olivier Award for his performance in Of Mice and Men, and is also the recipient of a Royal Television Society Award.
