Laura Benanti to Make London Concert Debut

Benanti currently leads the Broadway cast of ”My Fair Lady” at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Tony winner Laura Benanti has announced plans for her London concert debut, set for June 30 at Cadogan Hall, Sloane Square.

Benanti is currently starring as Eliza Doolittle in the Lincoln Center Theater revival of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady. She is a five-time Tony nominee, earning nominations for her roles in She Loves MeWomen on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Into the Woods, Swing!, and Gypsy, for which she won the Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Benanti's television credits also include recurring and guest appearances on Younger, The Detour, Supergirl, Law &Order: SVU, Nashville, The Good Wife, Elementary, Nurse Jackie, The Big C, NBC's The Sound of Music Live, and as First Lady Melania Trump on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

"I truly could not be more excited to perform in London for the first time this summer. It's been a bucket list item of mine for so long," said Benanti in a statement. "And I've been practicing my English accent for months now, thanks to My Fair Lady, so I can't wait to try it out on some real Brits! (Just kidding I promise not to do that.)"
