Joss Ackland, Charles Edwards, Jonathan Hyde, et al. Set for The King's Speech U.K. Tour logo

Additional casting has been announced for the U.K. tour of David Seidler's The King's Speech, which will launch with an engagement at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, beginning performances February 1, according to a report on Adrian Noble will direct the production, which will be designed by Anthony Ward and subsequently be seen in Nottingham, Bath, Brighton, Richmond and Newcastle.

Seidler's play centers on how King George VI conquered his debilitating stammer with the help of maverick speech therapist Lionel Logue and was the inspiration for his Academy Award-winning screenplay for the award-winning film of the same name.

The company will feature, as previously announced, Charles Edwards as the king and Jonathan Hyde as Logue, along with Emma Fielding (Queen Elizabeth), Joss Ackland (George V) and Ian McNeice (Winston Churchill).
