Full Casting Announced for London Treasure Island

Full casting has been announced for Ken Ludwig’s new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, which will begin a run on November 7 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

The production will be directed by Sean Holmes, with design by Lizzie Clachan, lighting by Paul Anderson, sound by Emma Laxton, and music by Tom Haines and Ross Hughes. Ludwig’s work includes Lend Me a Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo, and the books for Crazy for You and The Gershwins’ An American in Paris.

In addition to previously announced star Keith Allen as Long John Silver, the cast will include Michael Legge, Tony Bell, Paul Brennen, John Lightbody, Dermot Kerrigan, Branwell Donaghey, Howard Gossington, James Lailey, Mark Theodore, and Sharlene Whyte.

Allen’s stage credits include The Homecoming and Celebration/The Room. He is best known for his film and television work, which includes Robin Hood, 24 Hour Party People, and Shallow Grave. He is also the father of singer Lily Allen.
