Full Cast, Creative Team Set for The Tragedy of Thomas Hobbes and The Cordelia Dream at RSC

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has announced full cast and creative team information for The Tragedy of Thomas Hobbes (November 12-December 6) and The Cordelia Dream (December 11-January 16), two new RSC commissions set to open at Wilton’s Music Hall in East London.

Adriano Shaplin’s piece, The Tragedy of Thomas Hobbes, will be directed by Elizabeth Freestone with an official opening of November 18. The cast will feature Arsher Ali, William Beck, Stephen Boxer, Keir Charles, John Paul Connolly, Simon Darwen, Adrian De Costa, Leonard Fenton, James Garnon, Amanda Hadingue, Jack Laskey, Will Sharpe, Peter Shorey, Larrington Walker, and Angus Wright. The creative team will be lead by Soutra Gilmour and include Anna Morrissey (movement), Johanna Town (lighting), and Adrienne Quartly (music/sound).

The Cordelia Dream by Marina Carr will have Selina Cartmell at the helm and an official opening December 16. The cast will star Michelle Gomez and David Hargreaves, and the creative team will be lead by Giles Cadle and include Conor Linehan (music), Anna Morrissey (movement), Fergus O’Hare (sound), and Matthew Richardson (lighting).
