Esther Baker will direct Synergy Theatre Project’s West End revival of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ prison drama Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train, to run April 6-24 at Trafalgar Studios 2.

The play is set on Riker’s Island and focuses on two prisoners’ journey of faith, redemption, and despair. The company, a combination of ex prisoners and professionals, will feature Ricky Copp, Ricky Fearon, Denise Gough, Theo Jones, and Dominic Taylor.

The production will be designed by Katy McPhee, with lighting design by Tony Simpson and sound design by Tom Hackley

Synergy Theatre Project works with prisoners and ex-prisoners, producing shows both in theatres and within prisons, delivering education projects for young people and new writing initiatives to develop playwrights in prison.
