Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons has replaced the previously announced Anna Massey as Dutch psychic Helga Ten Dorp in the West End revival of Ira Levin’s Deathtrap. Matthew Warchus will direct the production, which will begin previews at the Noel Coward Theatre on August 21 in anticipation of an official opening on September 7.

As previously reported, the production will also star Simon Russell Beale as Sidney Bruhl and Jonathan Groff as Clifford Anderson. The cast will also include Claire Skinner.

The production will feature design by Rob Howell, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker and original music by Gary Yershon.

Parson won an Oscar for her performance in Bonnie and Clyde. She received Tony Award nominations for her performances in Morning’s at Seven, Miss Margarida’s Way, And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little, and The Seven Descents of Myrtle. Among her many other theater credits are August: Osage County, The Shadow Box, and The Norman Conquests. She may be most widely known for her portrayal of Beverly Harris on television’s Roseanne.
