[title of show], the acclaimed, “little musical that could” will make its long-awaited London debut this fall at the Landor Theatre, an intimate, sixty-seat space on the first floor of the Landor Pub in Clapham. Landor Artistic Director Robert McWhir will direct the piece, with Michael Webborn providing musical direction. Casting and additional information will be announced in the coming weeks.

Written by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell, the show follows two friends (named Jeff and Hunter) as they collaborate on a musical to submit to the inaugural New York Musical Theatre Festival. With three weeks to go, they try to create the show of their dreams, only to realize that their struggle to write the show is more entertaining than they show they are writing.

After premiering in 2004 at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, [title of show] ran off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre in 2006 before transferring in 2008 to Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre, where it received a Tony Award nomination for Best Book of a Musical.

A rumored West End production, which would star Bowen, Bell, and their fellow original cast members Heidi Blickenstaff and Susan Blackwell, fell through. Michael Berresse helmed the original production, with Larry Pressgrove providing musical direction.
