Benedict Cumberbatch, Stephen Rea, Maggie Smith Among BAFTA TV Award Nominees

The nominations for BAFTA’S TV Awards have been announced, according to a report on Deadline.com. The prizes will be presented in a ceremony to be held on May 27.


The nominees for Leading Actor are stage veterans Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Dominic West (Appropriate Adult), and John Simm (Exile), along with Joseph Gilgun (This Is England). Theater and screen performers Emily Watson and Romola Garai have been nominated in the Leading Actress Category for their work on Appropriate Adult and The Crimson Petal and The White, respectively, along with Nadine Marshall (Random) and Vicky McClure (This Is England).

The nominees for the BAFTA TV Award supporting actor and actress awards are Anna Chancellor, Monica Dolan, Martin Freeman, Miranda Hart, Joseph Mawle, Stephen Rea, Andrew Scott, and Maggie Smith.
