Ben Barnes, Genevieve O’Reilly, Nicholas Farrell, et al. Set for Trevor Nunn’s Birdsong in West End

Complete casting has been announced for Rachel Wagstaff’s stage adaptation of Sebastian Faulks’ novel Birdsong, which will begin previews at the Comedy Theatre on September 18, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. As previously announced, film and stage star Ben Barnes will play Stephen Wraysford in the production, which will be directed by Trevor Nunn.

The play tells the story of one man’s journey through an all-consuming love affair and the horror of the First World War. The company will also feature Genevieve O’Reilly (Isabelle), Nicholas Farrell (Rene Azaire), Iain Mitchell (Berard), Lee Ross (Jack Firebrace), and Zoe Waites (Jeanne), along with Owain Arthur, Billy Carter, Florence Hall, Paul Hawkyard, Gregg Lowe, Joe Coen, Jack Hawkins, James Staddon, and Annabel Topham.
