Theatre Royal Bath has announced the productions that will comprise its 2012 spring season in the Ustinov Studio and its summer season in the Main Theatre.

The spring season will begin with Adam Rapp’s Red Light Winter (March 1-31), to be directed by Richard Beecham and designed by Simon Kenny. Beecham and Kenny will also collaborate on Howard Korder’s In the Garden (April 4-May 5), which centers on an American architect who is summoned to a fictitious Middle Eastern country for a surprising commission.

The third offering in the Studio spring season will be Sarah Ruhl’s In the Next Room, or the vibrator play (May 10-June 9), to be directed by Laurence Boswell.

Jamie Lloyd will direct Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s The School for Scandal, which will launch the season in the Main Theatre, running July 5-21. The Main Theatre season will also feature Antony Sher in Terry Johnson’s Hysteria (July 26-August 18); and a production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest (August 23-September 8), to be directed by Adrian Noble.
