Annette Bening, Colin Firth, Andrew Garfield, Julianne Moore, Natalie Portman, Geoffrey Rush, et al. Nominated for BAFTA Awards

The nominations for the BAFTA Awards have been announced according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jonathan Ross will host the awards ceremony to be held on February 13 at London’s Royal Opera House and broadcast on the same day in the U.S. by BBC America (check local listings).

The King’s Speech has received the most nominations — a total of 14 — including Best Film and Outstanding British Film. In addition, Colin Firth has received a nomination for the Leading Actor Award, while Geoffrey Rush has received a nomination for Supporting Actor. The Social Network has also been nominated for Best Picture and Aaron Sorkin has received a nomination for Adapted Screenplay.

Other theater veterans nominated in acting categories include Annette Bening, Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Lesley Manville, Julianne Moore, Natalie Portman, Pete Postlethwaite, Miranda Richardson, and Mark Ruffalo.

Other nominated performers include Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Jeff Bridges, Helena Bonham Carter, James Franco, Barbara Hershey, Noomi Rapace, and Hailee Steinfeld.

The other films nominated as Best Picture are Black Swan, Inception, and True Grit.

As previously announced, theater veterans Gemma Arterton and Andrew Garfield, along with Tom Hardy, Aaron Johnson, and Emma Stone, are the nominees for BAFTA’s 2011 Rising Star Award.
