Directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, the musical, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse, centers on the trials of two women, who hope to use their infamy to catapult them to stardom.
The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).
Ferrera appeared Off-Broadway in Dog Sees God, and is best known for her award-winning portrayal of Betty Suarez on ABC's Ugly Betty.
Chicago recently ended a 5-year run at the Cambridge Theatre in August, and is transferring to the Garrick in November. The musical will celebrate its record-breaking 15th year in London on November 18.
