Peter Sinn Nachtrieb’s Bob to Premiere at Humana Festival of New Ameriacn Plays

Peter Sinn Nachtrieb’s Bob will premiere during the Actors Theatre of Louisville‘s 35th Anniversary Humana Festival of New American Plays, to run February 27 – April 17. Sean Daniels will direct the production.

The play focuses on the life of its title character, starting with his birth in the bathroom of a White Castle Restaurant in Louisville, KY. Casting will be announced at a later date. Nachtrieb’s other plays include boom, Hunter Gatherers, Self Help, and TIC.

In addition to the Humana Festival, the theater’s season will include Matthew Spangler’s adaptation of Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner (August 31 – September 25), directed by Marc Masterson; Charles Ludlam’s The Mystery of Irma Vep (October 5-30), directed by Daniels; Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park (November 16 – December 18), directed by Masterson; The Second City: It Takes a ‘Ville! (January 4 – February 6), and August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (January 18 – February 13), directed by Ron OJ Parson.

The theater will also offer William McNulty’s adaptation of Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston’s stage version of Dracula (September 17 – October 31), Philip Grecian’s stage version of the movie A Christmas Story (November 9 – 28) and Barbara Fields’ adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol (December 7 – 23).
