Jen Cody, Susan Powell, et al. Set for TUTS’ Guys and Dolls

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) has announced casting for Guys and Dolls, to run September 27 – October 9 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Roy Hamlin will direct the production, which will have choreography by Paula Sloan and music direction by Steven Jamail.

Based on characters and stories created by Damon Runyon, the musical, with a score by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, involves Nathan Detroit betting high-rolling gambler Sky Masterson that Sky cannot persuade Save-A-Soul Missionary Sister Sarah Brown to accompany him on a trip to Cuba.

The company will feature Susan Powell (Sarah Brown), Joseph Mahowald (Sky Masterson), Matt Merchant (Nathan Detroit), Jen Cody (Miss Adelaide), Cameron James, (Nicely-Nicely Johnson), Ven Daniel (Benny Southstreet), Brian Barry (Big Jule), Spencer Moses (Harry The Horse), Kevin Cooney. (Arvide Abernathy), Lisa Landa (General Cartwright), and Michael Tapley (Lt. Brannigan/ Joey Biltmore).


The ensemble will include William James Daniels, Kurt Domoney, Matthew C. Donnell, Taurean Everett, Tony Guerrero, Brittany Halen, Mark Jackson, Jupinko, Alissa LaVergne, Ashley Lee, Nathan Madden, Brad Madison, Theresa Nelson, Eric S. Robertson, Michelle Smith, Steven Sofia, Eric Stretch, Jay Tribble, Kristin Warren, Erin Wasmund, Steven Wenslawski and Paige Wheat.
