TheaterWorks Announces Cast for The Sty of the Blind Pig

TheatreWorks has announced casting for The Sty of the Blind Pig, written by Philip Hayes Dean, to perform City Arts on Pearl in Downtown Hartford from January 20 until February 26. Tazewell Thompson will direct.

On the cusp of the Civil Rights Movement in Chicago’s South Side, Alberta, unmarried and in her thirties, shares an apartment with her mother Weedy, an old-fashioned Southern transplant who cloaks her troubles in the hats and dresses of her church-going life.

The cast will include Krystel Lucas (Alberta), Eden Marryshow (Blind Jordan), Jonathan Earl Peck (Doc), and Brenda Thomas (Weedy).

The design team will feature Scott Bolman (lighting), Donald Eastman (sets), J. Hagenbuckle (sound), and Harry Nadal (costumes).
