Brent Harris, Jim Poulos to Star in Geva Theatre Center’s Amadeus

Brent Harris and Jim Poulos will star in Geva Theatre Center’s production of Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus, to run September 7-October 3. Paul Mason Barnes will direct.

The play centers on court composer Antonio Salieri (Harris), who is consumed by jealousy after hearing the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Poulos), and plots to destroy the brash and fiery young genius.

The cast will also feature Michael Fitzpatrick (Count Von Strack), Laura Griffin (Constanze Mozart), David Graham Jones (Venticelli I), Brad Heberlee (Emperor Franz Joseph II), Richmond Hoxie (Count Orsini-Rosenberg), Ned Noyes (Venticelli II), and Robert Rutland (Baron Von Swieten). The ensemble will also include Royce Bleier, Vinnie Carbone, Kate Dylan, Tim Ellison, Darrell Lance, Patricia Lewis, Stephanie McKee, Ricky Thomas, and Rachael Yoder.

The design team will include Bill Clarke (scenic design), Dorothy Marshall Englis (costume design), Ken Smith (lighting design), and Rusty Wandall (sound design).
