Tyne Daly to Star in Kennedy Center’s Master Class

Tony Award winner Tyne Daly will star as opera legend Maria Callas in the Kennedy Center’s production of Terrence McNally’s Master Class, to run March 25-April 18. The production will be directed by Stephen Wadsworth. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The show will run along with two of McNally’s other plays, The Lisbon Traviata (March 20-April 11) and Golden Age (March 12-April 14) as part of the Kennedy Center’s “Terrence McNally: Nights as the Opera” series.

Daly is currently starring Off-Broadway in Love, Loss, and What I Wore. She received the Tony for Gypsy, and her many stage credits include Rabbit Hole, The Seagull, and Me, Myself, and I. She is well-known for her Emmy Award-winning roles on Judging Amy and Cagney & Lacey.
