Synetic Theater will partner with Shakespeare Theatre Company to present a new addition to Synetic’s “Silent Shakespeare” repertoire, Antony and Cleopatra, which will be presented at the Lansburgh Theatre, January 28-February 28, 2010.

Synetic’s three prior “Silent Shakespeare” productions, Hamlet…the Rest is Silence, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet, have all garnered Helen Hayes Awards for Outstanding Director, Resident Play, for Paata Tsikurishvili. Synetic’s “Silent Shakespeare” version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will play the Kennedy Center May 28-June 14.

Tsikurishvili will once again take the helm for Antony and Cleopatra, which will feature his wife, Irina Tsikurishvili, as both choreographer and in the role of the Egyptian queen. Ben Cunis will play Antony, and the show will feature a score by Helen Hayes-nominated resident composer of Synetic, Konstantine Lortkipandze.
