Ralph Remington Named Director of NEA’s Theater and Musical Theater Program

Ralph Remington has been named the director of the theater and musical theater program at the National Endowment for the Arts, according to a report in The New York Times. He will join the Endowment on March 15, serving a two-year term and overseeing such projects as the NEA’s New Play Development Program.

Remington is a former Minneapolis city council member who has extensive regional theater experience. He worked as an artistic associate at Arena Stage in Washington, founded the Pillsbury House Theatre in Minneapolis, and worked as an actor in Minnesota at both the Guthrie and Illusion theaters.
