Patrick Cassidy, Rebecca Luker, and Oscar winner Shirley Jones will join the NSO Pops and conductor Marvin Hamlisch in The Music of the Music Man to be performed on November 27-28 at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington D.C. They will be joined by the City Choir of Washington; additional casting will be announced.

The two-act concert will focus on the work of composer-lyricist Meredith Willson, who wrote The Music Man as well as The Unsinkable Molly Brown.

Cassidy will play the leading role of Harold Hill. Luker, who is currently starring in Broadway’s Mary Poppins, will sing the role of Marian Paroo, which she played in the show’s 2000 Broadway revival and which earned her a Tony Award nomination. Jones, who played the role of Marian in the film version of The Music Man, will sing the role of Mrs. Paroo.
