Tony nominee Justin Bond — best known as Kiki (of Kiki and Herb fame) — will star in a reading of Mart Crowley’s Boys in the Band at the stage at Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens, June 8, with Jeffrey Johnson at the helm. The reading is presented by Ganymede Arts, formerly the Actors’ Theatre of Washington, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

Ganymede’s reading series of GLBT plays will also include Martin Sherman’s Bent at Miss Pixies Backroom Palace, June 15, with direction by Bob Bartlett and Harvey Fierstein’s Torch Song Trilogy at that same stage, June 22, with Matt Ripa directing. The Helen Hayes Award winning Signature Theatre cast of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America will reunite at the Universalist National Memorial Church, June 28, with John Moletress at the helm. The series will close with Terrence McNally’s Some Men, June 29, directed by Lee Mikeska Gardner at the Human Rights Campaign Headquarters.
