Daisy Eagan, Loretta Swit, et al. Set for Off-Broadway’s Love, Loss, and What I Wore Prior to National Tour

Following their Off Broadway run, the cast will launch the show’s first national tour, which will begin with an engagement at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts in Arizona, January 2-8.

Other tour cities and venues currently include the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in Tampa, (January 10-15), the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale (January 17-22), the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte (January 24-29), and the Gem Theatre in Detroit (February 7-March 4).

The show, which is written by Nora and Delia Ephron and directed by Karen Carpenter, is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, as well as on the recollections of the Ephrons’ friends. It uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to. The production features a series of five-person casts that will play in four-week cycles.

Eagan won a Tony Award for her performance in The Secret Garden. Among her other Broadway credits are Les Miserables and James Joyce’s The Dead.

Manzano is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Maria on Sesame Street. Her New York stage credits include Godspell, The Vagina Monologues, and The Exonerated.

Swit’s Broadway credits include Same Time, Next Year and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She has numerous television credits and is perhaps best known for the role of Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan on M*A*S*H.

Taylor’s many theater credits include Broadway productions of Nine, Macbeth, Electra, Chronicle of A Death Foretold, MuleBone, and A Streetcar Named Desire.
