The Book of Mormon to Launch National Tour with August 2012 Run in Denver

The national tour of the Tony Award-winning The Book of Mormon will launch its national tour at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, running August 14 – September 2, 2012, four months earlier than the previously announced run in December of 2012.

The musical has been written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Tony Award winner Robert Lopez. It follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. The production is co-directed by Trey Parker and Casey Nicholaw, who also serves as the production’s choreographer.

The production features set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations are by Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus. Music direction and vocal arrangements are by Stephen Oremus.
