Dallas Theater Center has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will begin with Kevin Moriarty’s staging of Shakespeare’s Henry IV, to run September 10 – October 10. Moriarty will also direct the season’s final production next summer, a revival of The Wiz (July 8 – August 14).

This fall, the theater will produce the world premiere of Regina Taylor’s Rain (November 5 – December 5). Ethan McSweeny will direct this play about what happens when a woman returns home following the breakup of her marriage. Over the holidays, the theater will present Richard Hellesen’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol (November 26 – December 24), to be directed by Matthew Gray and featuring music by David de Berry.

The new year will begin with a revival of Joseph Kesselring’s Arsenic and Old Lace (February 4 – March 13), directed by Scott Schwartz. The theater’s season will also include two productions staged by Joel Ferrell: Horton Foote’s Dividing the Estate (March 11 – April 9) and Kander and Ebb’s Cabaret (April 22 – May 22).
