Heidi Rodewald to Join Stew in Creating Songs and Music for Shakespeare on the Sound’s Othello

Composer Heidi Rodewald will join her Passing Strange collaborator Stew in writing songs and music for Shakespeare on the Sound’s production of Shakespeare’s Othello. Joanna Settle will direct the site-specific production, which will feature scenic design by Andrew Lieberman.

Settle, Stew, and Lieberman collaborated last year with the company’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The songs Stew created for the production were subsequently released on CD.

Othello will be presented at two locations on the Long Island Sound: in Pinkney Park, Rowayton, where it will run June 15-26, and Baldwin Park, Greenwich, with performances July 2-11. Casting and additional creative team will be announced shortly.
