Trent Armand Kendall, Gabrielle Ruiz, Kirsten Wyatt, Tony Yazbeck et al. Set for Goodspeed’s My One and Only

Goodspeed Musicals has announced casting for its production of My One and Only, to play the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut, April 15 – June 25, with an opening on May 11. Ray Roderick will direct, with choreography by Kelli Barclay.

In the tap dancing spectacular, the glamorous 1920s come roaring back to life when a barnstorming aviator falls for a bathing beauty. The show features music by George Gershwin, lyrics by Ira Gershwin and book by Peter Stone and Timothy S. Mayer.

The cast will star Broadway veteran Tony Yazbeck as love-struck aviator, Captain Billy Buck Chandler, along with Gabrielle Ruiz as Edythe Herbert, Khris Lewin as Prince Nicolai, Kirsten Wyatt as Mickey, Trent Armand Kendall as Reverend J.D. Montgomery, and Alde Lewis as Mr. Magix. The New Rhythm Boys will be played by Victor J. Wisehart and Michael Ramey. Vasthy E. Mompoint will play New Rhythm Girl.

The ensemble will include Nancy Renee Braun, Brian Davis, Deanna Glover, Joe Grandy, Matthew Kilgore, Drew King, Lea Kohl, Jarran Muse, Kristyn Pope, Allison Kaye Rihn, and Kristen J. Smith. The swings will be Dan Gleason and Laurie Veldheer.

The production will feature scenic designs by James Youmans, costumes by Robin McGee, lighting by Paul Miller, projections by Michael Clark, and sound design by Jay Hilton. The music director is Michael O’Flaherty, with orchestrations provided by Dan DeLange.
