Tom Jones Set for August 15 Westport Country Playhouse Symposium

Tony Award winner Tom Jones will participate in a Sunday Symposium at the Westport Country Playhouse on August 15 at 3pm, following the matinee performance of the theater’s production of I Do! I Do!, for which Jones wrote the book and lyrics.

Jones, alon with composer Harvey Schmidt, received an Obie and a Special Tony Award for The Fantasticks. His other musical credits include 110 in the Shade, Celebration, and Philemon.

As previously reported, Westport’s production of I Do! I Do! will star 2010 Tony Award nominee Kate Baldwin and Broadway veteran Lewis Cleale. Tony nominee Susan H. Schulman will direct the musical two-hander, which runs August 10-28.
