Matthew Morrison to Headline Westport County Playhouse Gala

Stage and screen favorite Matthew Morrison will headline Westport Country Playhouse‘s 2017 fundraising gala on Saturday, September 9. The evening will honor Ann Sheffer with the 2017 Playhouse Leadership Award.

Morrison was last seen on the New York stage as J.M. Barrie in Broadway's Finding Neverland, for which he earned a Drama Desk nomination. He is a Tony nominee for The Light in the Piazza, a Drama Desk nominee for 10 Million Miles, and an Emmy nominee for TV's Glee.

Sheffer’s history with the Playhouse began when she became an usher at age 15. She served as a trustee for 16 years and was a lead champion for the building of the new Playhouse, with a special interest in preserving its history and cultural significance.
