Karen Ziemba to Star in A.R. Gurney’s Sylvia at Long Wharf

Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba will star as Kate in A.R. Gurney’s Sylvia, to run February 17 – March 14 at Long Wharf Theatre. Eric Ting will direct the production.

Sylvia centers on the conflicts that arise when a man brings a stray dog home to live with him and his wife. The company will also feature John Procaccino (Greg), Erica Sullivan (Sylvia), and Jacob Ming-Trent (Tom/Phyllis/Leslie) .

Ziemba won the Tony Award for her performance in Contact and received Tony nominations for Steel Pier, Never Gonna Dance, and Curtains. Her other Broadway credits include Chicago, Crazy For You, Teddy & Alice, and 42nd Street.

The creative team for Sylvia will include Frank Alberino (scenic design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Valerie Webster (costume design), and Jill BC DuBoff (sound design).
