Adinah Alexander, Travis Mitchell to Star in TriArts Sharon Playhouse’s The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

TriArts Sharon Playhouse is set to present The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, June 28-July 15 at Sharon Playhouse. Artistic director John Simpkins will direct.

Featuring a book by Larry L. King and Peter Masterson and a score by Carol Hall, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is a gritty satire about moral hypocrisy and media sensationalism.

The cast will be led by Adinah Alexander as Miss Mona and Travis Mitchell as Sheriff Earl Dodd and will also feature Meggan Utech (Jewel), Rose Bisogno (Shy), Kathleen Weston (Angel), Ashley Sweetman (Doatsey), Emily Soell (Miss Wulla Jean), Tim Shea (Melvin P. Thorpe), John Champion (Governor), Duane Estes (Senator Wingwoah), Dave Cadwell (Bandleader/Edsel Mackey), Russ Sawicki (C.J. Scruggs), and Philip O’Reilly (Mayor Rufus Poindexter). The ensemble will include Stephen Beard, Drew Berezowitz, Amber Cameron, Livie Casto, Sarah Pearl Loman, Gena Loe, Zach Longstreet, Christian Lowery, Nick Savarese, Becky Sawicki, Jim Scofield, and Samantha Weinstein.

The design team will be comprised of Erik D. Diaz (set design), Chris Dallos (lighting design), Michelle Humphrey (costume design), and Jay Stirone (sound design).
