Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Laila Robins, et al. Set for Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival

Full casting has been announced for the staged readings and dance presentation that will be presented as part of the 12th annual Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival, to be held in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, June 19-21.

The Denver Center Theater Company presentation of Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder’s The Bone Orchard (June 19 at 8pm) will be directed by Lawrence Hecht, and is about a girl who wants to die a virgin martyr, until she falls in love with the boy who has been hired to dig her grave. The cast will include Chris Mazza, Jenna Panther, Jeanne Paulsen, and Larry Paulsen.

Theresa Rebeck’s Poor Behavior (June 20 at 2pm), presented by the Actors Theatre of Louisville and directed by Marc Masterson, is about a couple who invite old friends up to the country for a weekend visit, resulting in a dinnertime dispute that escalates into all-out combat. The cast will feature David Wilson Barnes, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, and Laila Robins.

Camille A. Brown’s new choreographic work will be presented on June 20, at 8pm. Featured dancers will include Belen Estrada, Kevin Guy, Juel D. Lane, and Keon Thoulouis, accompanied by Perry-Mansfield students.

The festival will end with the Atlantic Theater Company presentation of Lucy Thurber’s Bottom of the World (June 21 at 4pm), to be directed by Neil Pepe and feature Chris Abbott, Mary Bacon, Patch Darragh, Aubrey Dollar, Emily Landham, Peter Maloney, Mary McCann, and Elizabeth Olsen. The play tells the tale of two sisters, one of whom comforts the other from beyond the grave by bringing to life scenes from her unfinished novel.
