Village Players Announces Cast and Creative Team for Amadeus

Village Players will continue its mainstage season with Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus, to run February 14-March 15. Doug Long will direct.

Shaffer’s play is titled after the famous composer’s pen name, and follows rival composer Antonio Salieri as he continually tries to undermine Mozart’s success. The cast will feature Kevin Duvall as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Elaine Ivy Harris as Constanze Weber, Larry Garner as Salieri, John Rushing as Joseph II–Emperor of Austria, Robert Dean as Count Johann Kilian Von Strack, David Schaplowsky as Count Franz Orsini-Rosenberg, James Leonard as Baron Gottfried Van Swieten, Cassandra Cushman as Katherina Cavalieri, Lynn Griebahn as Majordomo and Kappelmeister Bonno, Garland Jones as Salieri’s Valet, Nathan Sanders and Michael John Krystosek as the Venticelli, Lisa Kramer as Salieri’s Pastry Cook, and Sally Kapela as Teresa Salieri.

The creative team will include Andrew Glasenhardt (lighting design), Gintare Jaloveckaite (costume design), John List (sound design), and Rick Sandoval (set design).
