Tim Kazurinsky, David Pevsner, Bruce Vilanch Set for Scrooge & Marley Film

Two-time Emmy winner and theater veteran Bruce Vilanch will play Fezziwig in the independent film, Scrooge & Marley, which will be shot in Chicago in May and feature numerous local actors.
David Pevsner and Tim Kazurinsky will play the title roles in this modern-day variation on Charles Dickens’ classic holiday story, A Christmas Carol, which press notes say is “recounted from a gay sensibility with heart, comedy and music.” The film is based on an original script by Ellen Stoneking, Richard Knight, Jr. and the late Timothy Imse. It will be directed by Knight and Peter Neville. Original songs and the film’s music score are being written by Lisa McQueen.
The cast will also include Christopher Allen as Bill; Drew Anderson as Young Scrooge; Nicholas Bailey as Young Marley; Scott Duff as Drew; Richard Ganoung as Colin; Becca Kaufman and Richard Knight, Jr. as a comedic cabaret duo; Amy Matheny as Mary; Fawzia Mirza as Marshall; Peter Mohawk as Kyle; David Moretti as Bob Cratchit; PJ Powers as Marley’s ghostly acquaintance; Rusty Schwimmer as Scrooge’s niece Freda; and Colin Sphar as Brent; and Allison Torem as Scrooge’s sister Franny.
The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future will be played by Ronnie Kroell, Megan Cavanagh and Jo Jo Baby, respectively. Child actors will include Liam Jones as Tiny Tim, with siblings played by real-life twin sisters Dixon and Delaney Kaufman and real-life brothers Elijah and Keante Pendleton.
Additional supporting cast includes Michael Termine, Rafael Torres, Tommy Beardmore, Tom Chiola, Sean Walton, Diana Simonzadeh, Alex Weisman, Steven McQuown, Ryan Lanning, Ellen Stoneking, and WBEZ reporter Alison Cuddy in a voice cameo as a radio announcer. David Cerda and Ed Jones will be among actors in a series of special Christmas vignettes.
