Theo Ubique Extends The Light in the Piazza Through May 20

Theo Ubique Theatre has extended its production of Adam Guettel and Craig Lucas’ The Light in the Piazza, playing at No Exit Café, according to a report in The Chicago Tribune. Co-directed by Fred Anzevino and Brenda Didier and featuring musical direction by Jeremy Ramey, the production will now play through May 20.


Set in Florence and Rome in 1953, the piece centers on a young American tourist traveling with her mother meets and falls for a young Italian, but her mother opposes the affair for reasons that only gradually become apparent.

The company features Kelli Harrington, Rachel Klippel, Justin Adair, Michael Kingston, Denise Tamburrino, Pavi Proczko, Elizabeth Lanza, Clay Sanderson, William Aaron and Christin Boulette.
