The Addams Family to Open in Chicago in November 2009

Broadway In Chicago will host the world premiere of The Addams Family, a new musical based on the bizarre family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, to run November 13, 2009-January 10, 2010 at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts’ Oriental Theater, prior to opening on Broadway in the spring of 2010. Casting will be announced in the coming months.

The production will feature direction and design by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch, book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, choreography by Sergio Trujillo, lighting by Natasha Katz, and musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.
