Casting has been announced for Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Chicago premiere production of Erika Sheffer's Russian Transport. Performances will begin on February 6, 2014, in advance of a February 16 opening, and will run through May 11 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre.

Ensemble member Yasen Peyankov helms a five-person cast, featuring Tim Hopper, Mariann Mayberry, and Alan Wilder, along with Aaron Himelstein and Melanie Neilan. Russian Transport received its world premiere production off-Broadway at The New Group in 2012. The play follows a rowdy family of Russian immigrants living in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, as they strive to achieve the American dream.

The creative team includes Joey Wade (scenic design), Ana Kuzmanic (costume design), Scott Zielinski (lighting design), Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen (sound design and original music), and Stephan Mazurek (projection design).
