The Neo-Futurists have announced casting for Greg Allen’s The Strange and Terrible True Tale of Pinocchio (the Wooden Boy) As Told By Frankenstein’s Monster (the Wretched Creature), to run March 8 – April 14 at The Neo-Futurarium. Playwright Allen will direct the production.

The darkly comic piece has been created using Carlo Collodi’s original 1883 Italian story, interpreting it through the eyes of the monster imagined by Mary Shelley, and including the outrageous, bizarre and violent scenes from Collodi’s tale that are usually cut from other adaptations.

The company will feature Robert Fenton (Pinocchio), Guy Massey (The Monster), Dan Kerr-Hobert (Gepetto), Tien Doman (The Blue Fairy), Thomas Kelly (Fire-Eater), and Chris Rickett (The Fox).

The creative team will include performer Kerr-Hobert, who will serve as Director of Puppetry, along with Joe Schermoly (scenic design), Gina Patterson (lighting design), Rachel Sypniewski (costume design), and Chas Vrba (sound design).
