The American Theater Company (ATC) and About Face Theatre co-production of Jonathan Larson’s Rent, which had previously announced an extension at ATC through July 1, will now close on June 24.

The 1996 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning rock opera is set at the end of the 1980’s, as a group of Bohemian artists struggle to find life, love and art in a brutal economy and the height of the AIDS crisis.

David Cromer has directed the musical, which also features Alex Agard (Tom Collins), Lili-Anne Brown (JoAnne), Grace Gealey (Mimi), Aileen May (Maureen), Eduardo Placer (Angel), Tony Santiago (Benjamin Coffin III), Alan Schmuckler (Mark Cohen), and Derrick Trumbly (Roger), along with Karla Beard, Aaron Nelson, Danielle Plisz, Tyler Ravelson, Steve Tomlitz, Anji White and Luke Wygodny.
