The adult-themed holiday favorite Hellcab returns tonight to Profiles Theatre for another run.

Based on the experiences of the playwright, Will Kern, during his time as a cabbie, the show follows a cab driver on the longest night of his life. On a freezing Christmas Eve night, a bevy of characters come in and out of the cab getting transported through the gritty streets of Chicago. Alternately terrifying, hilarious, and poignant, the passengers include a trio of drug addicts, a born-again couple, a smug lawyer, and a randy duo on their way to a motel. As he drives these eclectic characters to their various destinations the cabbie watches this passing parade of humanity through the rear-view mirror.

Profiles Theatre Ensemble member Eric Burgher directs Kern’s play.

Performances will run through January 10.
