Porchlight Music Theatre Announces Cast for Once On This Island

Casting has been announced for Porchlight Music Theatre’s production of the Lynn Ahrens-Stephen Flaherty musical, Once On This Island, to play Theatre Building Chicago, May 9-June 28, with an opening set for May 11. Mark Lococo will direct, with music direction by Eugene Dizon and choreography by Brenda Didier.

In Porchlight’s production, this musical love story set in the beautiful Caribbean islands has been reimagined as a tale told by immigrants living in an urban neighborhood.

The show will star Melanie Brezill as Ti Moune and Sean Walton as Daniel, and also feature Jayson Brooks as Agwe, Jastine Dumlao as Erzulie, Caitlainne Rose Gurreri as Andrea, Luis Herrera as Papa Ge, Renardo Johnson as Ton Ton, Krystal Metcalfe as Euralie, Austin Moore as Little Ti Moune, Gerald Richardson as Armand, and Bethany Thomas as Asaka.

The creative team will include Ian Zywica (set), Carol J. Blanchard (costumes), and Gary Echelmeyer (lighting).
