Peter and the Starcatcher Lights Up Drury Lane

The Tony Award-winning play begins performances tonight.

Peter and the Starcatcher, a prequel to the beloved classic Peter Pan tale, makes its regional debut at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace tonight.

During this romp through Neverland, 12 actors play over 100 unforgettable characters in a swashbuckling and enchanting story of how a folk hero got his start. It presents a coming-of-age story of the boy who never came of age, as all the characters explore and illuminate how Peter Pan became "The Boy Who Never Grew Up."

With a book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the play is written by Rick Elice and directed by William Osetek. Performing in the show are Caleb Donahoe as Boy, Emma Rosenthal as Molly Aster, Matt Mueller as Black Stache, Aaron Kirby as Prentiss, Zack Colonna as Ted, Andrew Mueller as Fighting Prawn, John Keating as Mrs. Bumbrake, Rod Thomas as Lord Aster, Rhett Guter as Slank and Hawking Clam, Brandon Springman as Captain Scott, Jake Klinkhammer as Alf, and Jeff Dumas as Smee.

The creative team includes Ben Johnson (music direction), Rhett Guter (choreography), Scott Davis (set design), Sally Dolembo (costume design), Diana Ferry Williams (lighting design), Ray Nardelli (sound design).
