Tony nominee Orfeh (Legally Blonde) will take on the role of Kit in the new Broadway-bound musical Pretty Woman, producers have announced. Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, the production will begin performances on Tuesday, March 13, for a five-week engagement at Chicago's Oriental Theatre.

Orfeh joins a cast headed by Samantha Barks (Les Misérables) and Tony winner Steve Kazee (Once), who take on the roles of Vivian and Edward. The full company will be announced in the coming months.

With an original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, the musical features a book by Garry Marshall and the film’s screenwriter J.F. Lawton. The production will feature scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Philip S. Rosenberg, sound design by John Shivers, hair design by Josh Marquette, and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Will Van Dyke.

Following its run in Chicago, Pretty Woman: The Musical will open on Broadway in fall 2018 at a Nederlander theater to be announced. Paula Wagner, Nice Productions, LPO, New Regency Productions, Roy Furman, James L. Nederlander, Caiola Productions, Hunter Arnold, Stage Entertainment, and the John Gore Organization serve as producers.
