The world premiere production of Objects in the Mirror begins performances tonight at the Goodman Theatre. Chuck Smith directs.

Inspired by a true story, Charles Smith's Objects in the Mirror follows the story of Shedrick Yarkpai, a Liberian refugee who, escaping the horrors of his war-torn homeland, hopes to begin anew in Australia. But his path to peace is haunted by an explosive family secret, and Shedrick must confront the ghosts of his past to reclaim his present.

Daniel Kyri stars as Yarkpai. He is joined by Breon Arzell (Zaza Workolo), Allen Gilmore (John Workolo), Ryan Kitley (Rob Mosher), and Lily Mojekwu (Luopu Workolo).

The creative team includes Riccardo Hernandez (set design), Mike Tutaj (projection design), John Culbert (lighting design), Birgit Rattenborg Wise (costume design), Ray Nardelli (sound design). Briana J. Fahey is the production stage manager.
